The Glyph Group will meet next on Saturday January 11 at 10:30 am.
We are looking at the “Almanac of the 19 Gods,” pages 4 to 10 in the Dresden Codex. So far, we have been puzzling over two questions: What is the significance of the background color in each drawing, and what is the significance of the two different “flower” glyphs in col 1 and 8?
You can find a high-quality color scan of the entire Dresden Codex at: https://digital.slub-dresden.de/werkansicht/dlf/2967/1 This is the definitive source for the Dresden! You can use this version to verify any reproductions that you might have.
You may also wish to consult the Förstemann facsimile of the Dresden. You can find a copy at https://bvpb.mcu.es/es/catalogo_imagenes/grupo.do?path=175102
